Mid-Year Reading Check-In
Hello, all! 1. Best book you've read so far this year? I'm going to give it to my first five star read of the year: The Secret Book Society by Madeline Martin. 2. Best sequel you've read so far this year? There was a new Veronica Speedwell book released this year, so obviously, that one. 3. New release you haven't read yet but want to? So many, but I'll go with Tropesick by Lauren Okie. 4. Most anticipated release for the second half of the year? The Knave and the Moon by Rachel Gillig. I neeeeeed this book in my hands ASAP. 5. Biggest disappointment? Operation Bounce House by Matt Dinniman. Like so many others, I became obsessed with the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, so I was excited to read something different by him, but I didn't love it. 6. Biggest surprise? Throne of Nightmares by Kerri Maniscalco. I've had a love-hate relationship with Maniscalco's writing over the last few years, and this series hasn't been my favorite, so I was pleasant...
