Dream Girl Drama Review (Big Shots, #3)
Hello, all!
I'm a sucker for Tessa Bailey's books, so I was thrilled to get an early copy of her latest release, Dream Girl Drama. Big thanks to the publisher for the copy!

Sig Gauthier may be a hot-shot professional hockey player, but he came from humble beginnings and isn't one for the flashier things in life. So when his ancient car breaks down in the parking lot of a fancy country club, all Sig wants to do is call a tow truck and hightail it out of there. But then he meets Chloe Clifford, and Sig quickly realizes his life will never be the same. Chloe is light and effervescent, and the pair waste no time stealing kisses between sips of stolen champagne. The pair's chemistry is undeniable, but then the worst thing happens: they discover their parents are engaged.
This is the push that Chloe needs to leave her sheltered life, and Sig is right there, showing her the ins and outs of Boston. The future step-siblings know they need to pump the breaks on anything romantic, but neither can stay away from the other. They may try and keep things platonic, but they aren't fooling anyone, leaving their professional lives at risk. As their parent's wedding day ticks closer, will Sig and Chloe find a way to be together or will they have to kiss true love goodbye? If you watched Clueless and rooted for Cher and Josh to get together, this book is for you. Admittedly, I was hesitant about the romantic aspect, but once I found out they weren't step-siblings, I didn't mind. It's very much your stereotypical Bailey novel. You have a protective MMC who is gone for the FMC, ridiculously over-the-top bed scenes, and more drama than a Housewives reality show. The chemistry between Sig and Chloe was electric, but I loved the most how they were genuinely best friends. Their connection was so strong, and I was on the edge of my seat, hoping they would find a way to be together. There were times when Chloe's character frustrated me with her poor decision-making, but her character growth by the end was satisfying. Is it the best book I've ever read? No, but did I have a great time reading it? Absolutely, and that's par for the course when it comes to Bailey's books, and I'll keep eating them up every time.
