March OwlCrate Review

Hello, all!

The theme for this month was "Secrets & Masks." Let's get into it!

First up was the next installment in their Perfect Pairings enamel pin collection. This one features Kell and Lila from The Shades of Magic series.

Next was this silicone snack pouch inspired by The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches. I've seen these reusable pouches all over, so I'm excited to try them out.

Another useful item (you all know how much I love those!) was this Spirited Away-inspired umbrella. I think this is my favorite item in the box. We've got a few other umbrellas in past boxes, and they hold up really well, so this is great.

Then there was this journal based on A Study in Drowning. I like how the pages are blank because then I can tear them up and use them as scrap paper for my reading journal.

The last item was this cute little wooden sign. I don't know if I'll use it, but I love the design with the dragon.

This month's book was The Last Bloodcarver by Vanessa Le. This is a Vietnamese-inspired fantasy following Nhika, who can alter human biology just by touching someone. After getting caught using her powers, Nhika is taken to heal the witness of the murder of an aristocratic family member and must decide where her loyalties lie and what she'll do to protect herself and the ones she loves.

I haven't heard of this one before, but it sounds a bit dark and eerie, so it's right up my alley. Let me know what you think of this box!

  1. The pouch is super cute (and I love the book it's based on)!
