One of my auto-buy romance authors is Sarah Adams, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on her latest release, The Rule Book.

Nora didn't exactly end their relationship most gracefully, and now her entire career hinges on him.

Fresh off an injury and with his career in the balance, the last thing Derek Pender wants to do is spend time with the woman who shattered his heart. Though Derek immediately shuts down Nora's proposal to work together, the more he thinks about it, the more he sees the fun in enacting a little revenge. If Nora wants to be his agent, he'll do everything to make her miserable to the point of quitting. But Derek forgot how competitive Nora is, and instead of parting ways, the pair find themselves married after a wild night in Vegas. Could this be the kick they needed to fess up to their feelings, or will their decision explode in their faces?

Do you know that quote from Field of Dreams: "If you build it, they will come"? Well, if Sarah Adams writes it, I will read it. She's my go-to author when I need something that will make me joyful. Her writing is the equivalent of a warm breeze on a sunny day. It was a fun twist on the second-chance romance/marriage of convenience tropes. I loved Nora and Derek so much. Their relationship was playful, but you could tell how much they respected one another. Derek had me swooning with how gone he was for Nora. I also loved all the friendships here. Nora and her mom were precious, and Derek and the Shark boys were hilarious. If you're looking for something sweet to make you smile, I can't recommend her books enough.
