July OwlCrate Review
Hello, all!
First was the latest in their enamel pin collection. This one is inspired by Gideon the Ninth. I haven't read that series and don't really want to, so I'll pass this along.
The theme for this month was "Dark Reflections," so let's get into it.
Next was this pretty pastel glittery highlighter set featuring quotes from Where the Dark Stands Still, Juniper and Thorn, and For the Throne. You all know how much I love stationery supplies, so I'm sure these will be useful.
Then we have my favorite item-- this Percy Jackson-inspired bookmark. I've been digging these metal bookmarks they've been doing this year, and I'm excited to see what others are in store.
Another item I'll be passing along is this Spinning Silver zipper charm. I just don't see the reason for this, so I won't be using it.
Then we have another notebook to add to my ever-growing collection! I love the colors and design of this one, and that it has blank pages so I can use it for junk journaling.
This month's book was Sleep Like Death by Kalynn Bayron. This is a retelling of Snow White following Eve, who can communicate with animals and conjure weapons. Eve has been trained to kill the dreaded Knight that cursed one of her mothers, but as she prepares to face him, she notices her mother, the Queen, acting strangely. Now, it's up to Eve to save her mother and the kingdom before it's too late.
I've read two of Bayron's previous books and enjoyed them, and I can never say no to a fairytale retelling, so this sounds fun. Let me know what you thought of this month's box!
