September OwlCrate Review
Hello, all!
My favorite item in the box was this candle inspired by The Unmaking of June Farrow. It smells so good, I almost don't want to burn it because I want it to last!
Next was this locket for The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. Not going to lie, the quality of this feels so cheap. It reminds me of the little jewelry you can get out of quarter machines.
I have no clue what this could be inspired by, but it's a little pouch with bears, horses, and birds on it. It's cute, but I probably won't use it.
The theme for September was "I'll Remember You." Let's get into it.
(My box was missing the spoiler card, so I'm winging it on what the fandoms are.)
First up was this enamel pin inspired by The Song of Achilles. I don't love the design of this one, and I don't collect pins anymore, so I'll be passing this along.
Another item I will use though, was this cup based on Once Upon a Broken Heart. I love the autumnal vibes of this, and I can't wait to add it to my mug rotation.
The book for September was At the End of the River Styx by Michelle Kulwicki. Zan has spent the last 499 years of his 500-year curse processing souls for the Ferryman, and if he fails at his job than he dies. Bastian is grieving after surviving the car accident that took his mother, and has impulse-purchased a book store. Death's mark keeps pulling Zan towards Bastian, but Zan is hesitant to take his soul after glimpsing Bastian's memories. The boys steal time hiding from the Ferryman in memories of the dead, forcing Zan to decide if he's willing to give up his chance at life for Bastian.
I haven't heard of this before, but it sounds up my alley, and I love this edition. Let me know what you thought of September's box!
